![]() ![]() I feel that this is the easiest start, and I think I can take whatever route I want further into the game. Despite all of this, I want to give this a try, using the same start and see where I end up. Other reasons to play TC is that AP doesn’t have as many plots as TC does. I checked some forum posts when I started playing the game, and most people recommended starting with TC until you know more about the game. I want to have some of the new features available in Albion prelude. I’ve been playing x3: Terran conflict for a few weeks now as a trader. I spend about 9K on trading system extension, a better scanner and engine and rudder upgrades. I decided to spend some of it on upgrades and save most of it for trading. Now we move to the shipyard And sell our Discoverer. When done scouting my universe map looks like this. Takes some time, but will save time later.Īfter scouting for a while, I realized I should’ve upgraded my scanner, A duplex scanner would’ve helped. I proceed to scout out the surrounding sectors with my Discoverer. Once I’ve found the shipyard I order my Mercury there to wait for me to finish scouting. I start journey going through the south gate, since I know there’s a shipyard in Argon Prime From playing TC. ![]() ![]() Our universe map doesn’t look like much yet, time to do some scouting. We also order our Discoverer to go to the same place. We can do this in space, but I decided to dock to change ship. The first thing we want to do is to get into our discoverer. When the game starts, you find yourself in space in your Mercury freighter. My goal now is to get to about half a milion before I decide what to do next. I made a good profit buy had to travel around to get rid of them. While in Home of light I buy some Cohonas, but not sure this was worth it. Now it’s time for some more upgrades, I get the rest of the engine tuning and rudder optimization and head off to Home of light for the Best buys and best selling locators. I keep distributing ore and energy to this and the surrrounding sectors for quite some time, and quickly get up to 100K. In Herron’s Nebula I find Ore for 50 and decide to go with that instead: I can sell it in the same sector for more than double the price. I see nothing is produced in argon Prime, so I decide to head towards Power Circle. Since I now have the Trading system extension I can quickly check prices without docking at a station. ![]() Note: In TC you have to go to the equipment docks for these upgrades. I leave myself with about 36K, you could probably buy more upgrades right away and trade other stuff, but I want to be able to buy a full load of energy cells. At this point I do some upgrading to my ship Duplex scanner, some engine tuning, trading system extension. Then, once you're there, you'll be able to use the new diplomacy options to help shape your relationships with the factions you find. After selling my discovery I’m left with about 45K and the Mercury. Trapped in an isolated area of space, you'll first need to make use of the new exploration features to find your way back to civilisation.
